Ganoderma lucidum is rich in Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharides, triterpenoids, sterols, alkaloids and other active ingredients, which has anti-oxidation, anti-virus, anti-tumor, immune enhancement, anti-aging, hypoglycemic, hypolipidemic, heart disease prevention, liver protection and other health care functions. In recent years, the research and development of Ganoderma lucidum have transcended its conventional usage as a medicine and have increasingly used in food, which is more in line with peoples' requirements for food nutrition and healthcare. In this paper, the research status and prospects of Ganoderma lucidum spore, fruiting body, mycelium and fermentation products in functional food were reviewed, which provided a reference for the application and development of Ganoderma lucidum in functional food.
